Audiology & Hearing Care
Thorough, unhurried hearing care for babies, children and adults in Liefde-en-Vrede, Johannesburg.
Who we help
Children
From a baby’s first hearing test to school-age children, we make hearing assessments gentle, playful and stress-free. Good hearing is the foundation for speech, language and learning, so checking early matters.
Adults
If conversations have become harder to follow, the TV keeps getting louder, or loved ones say you’re missing things, a hearing assessment gives you clear answers and a plan that fits your life.
Signs it may be time for a hearing test
In children
- Not startling at loud sounds or turning towards voices

- Difficulty concentrating or following instructions at school
In adults
- Struggling to follow conversations in restaurants or groups
- Turning up the TV or radio louder than others like
- Often asking people to repeat themselves
- Ringing or buzzing in the ears
- Feeling tired or withdrawn after social situations

Meet your audiologist
Hi, I’m Megan, an HPCSA-registered audiologist and speech-language therapist with more than ten years of experience in hearing care.
I qualified in Speech and Hearing Therapy at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2014 and began my career at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital. During my three years there, I focused on paediatric audiology, assessing and supporting babies and children with hearing loss in a busy, high-volume hospital setting.
I then spent two years at a busy private practice in Alberton, where I worked with both children and adults across audiology and speech therapy, before opening my own practice in 2020.
Because hearing and communication are so closely connected, I also completed Auditory-Verbal Therapy training through Stellenbosch University, which focuses on helping children with hearing loss learn to listen and talk. So when I test a child’s hearing, I’m also thinking about what the results mean for their speech, language and learning, and what the next steps should be.
Whether it’s your child’s first hearing test or you’re noticing changes in your own hearing, I’ll take the time to listen, explain everything clearly, and help you feel at ease.

We bill most medical aids directly, so there’s usually no need to pay upfront and claim back yourself. If your plan doesn’t cover the full amount, we’ll let you know about any shortfall in advance. Private patients are very welcome too, and we accept [card and EFT].
Many medical aids offer benefits towards hearing aids. We’ll give you a detailed quote and any supporting documents you need for your application. Cover varies from plan to plan, so it’s worth checking your audiology and hearing aid benefits with your scheme before your appointment.
